over all agree! I do think that it is equally dangerous to try to be different for the sake of it. The authentic self might be perfectly content in a "run of the mill" life. We shouldn't let others tell us how to paint our self.

I used to think the same thing. One of the problems I have is that, as I am adhd, it takes me forever to do things and so I put things off a lot. But the other thing about my ad h d is that, as you might know, with most of us, I hyper focus on things, sometimes. The problem with that is that I end up going the long way. And now that I'm older, I realize that I have so many skills that the people around me just don't, because I took the long way, it was hard but I was willing to do it.
