    Blog #100

    A Marker Beside The Road

    By Suzanne

I did not begin with a plan to write 100 blogs. Actually, I did not begin with much of a plan. I noticed something. Then I noticed something else. A thought stayed with me long enough to become a nudge. The nudge became a few words. The words became a blog. And somehow, one blog became 100.

    One Hundred.

I want to pause here, not because I am finished, but because some moments deserve to be noticed. This is one of them. Blog 100 is not a finish line. It is a marker beside the road. It says:

You came this far. You kept going. You built something. Do not hurry past without acknowledging it.

We are often so eager to reach the next thing that we barely glance at the ground we have already covered. We complete something, check it off, and immediately ask, “What’s next?” I am very good at what’s next.

But today I am allowing myself to stand still. Not forever. Just long enough to look back.

As I said when I wrote the first blog, I did not know where it would lead. But I wrote. Some blogs came easily. Others made me dig. Some began as a sentence, some as a question, and some as a feeling I could not understand until I began putting words around it.

Each one taught me something. Not only about writing but also about myself. I also learned that clarity comes after we begin, not before. I learned that consistency does not have to be loud or punishing. It can be a quiet return to something that matters.

I learned that a nudge does not arrive carrying a complete set of instructions. It usually offers only one small invitation. I learned that we do not need to know exactly where something is going before we begin. And that an accidental beginning can become an intentional life.

Blog 100 is not proof that I have arrived. It is proof that I began. It is proof that small steps accumulate. It is proof that curiosity can become commitment, that action creates clarity, and that age does not get to decide when our becoming is complete.

This marker beside the road does not tell me to stop. It tells me to look ahead. There are more things to notice, more questions to ask, more nudges to follow, more words patiently waiting for their turn.

    Today belongs to number 100.

Today I pause beside this marker with enormous gratitude for every idea that found me, every word that challenged me, every person who read, responded, encouraged or simply came along quietly.

I will continue. Because this was never about reaching a number. It was about becoming the woman who would just keep on, keeping on.

    One Hundred Blogs

A monument to beginning. A celebration of continuing. A foundation for whatever becomes next. And a reminder to me and perhaps to you: When you pass a marker beside the road, stop long enough to honor the distance you have traveled.

Then take a breath. Notice the horizon. And keep going.

The best may still be waiting just around the bend.
